Summer Day Camps
This partnership with other local organizations has been a wonderful way to support local summer activity for our youth. Join us at the museum to learn more about our local history and how pioneers lived in our rugged land. Children will enjoy making ice-cream the old-fashioned way, harvesting apples and turning them into a tasty treat, participate in fun activities like felting, beading and nature wind chimes. A popular summer activity is shelter building…will your shelter withstand rain? Learn some pioneer schoolhouse games, have fun with sack and three legged races, try your hand at skipping with homemade rope. Our programs function very similarly to the one room schoolhouse and are great fun for everyone.

“Awesome experience, and a lot more than we were expecting especially for $10. The refurbished village and various artefacts conveyed a very deep history of the area. The highlight was of course the wildlife exhibit. Well worth the visit!"
