We encourage our members to apply for a board position. Our annual AGM occurs in February each year at the museum, 7:00pm. This meeting is open to the public but voting is reserved for members so please ensure you have updated your membership with us prior to voting. We are thrilled you are considering being part of our team! We typically run between 6 and 9 members. To help you make an educated decision the following is what you are committing to:

  • One-year term on board for a maximum 3 years

  • Meeting held each month on the 3rd Tuesday at 7p.m. at museum ~ 2hrs

  • Sit on one committee 

  • Support museum events and fundraisers

The Sundre & District Historical Society would like to acknowledge that the Sundre & District Museum is located on Treaty 6 and 7 territories which have been the traditional meeting grounds, gathering place and travelling route for the Blackfoot Confederacy, Tsuu t'ina, Stoney Nakota and Region 3 Metis. We also wish to publicly acknowledge the many First Nations, Metis and Inuits whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries.
